For eighteen years, the Speak Off Competition has been one of the highlights of the school year. It is not just a speech contest; it is an opportunity for our students to stand up, take their place, and make their voices heard in French. <\/p>\n
Students from Across the Province<\/h2>\n
Finalists from the elementary, intermediate, and secondary categories from each of our six schools will take to the stage to present their original speeches before a jury. The evaluation criteria focus on oral expression, language quality, and coherence of content, but beyond the points, what is at stake here is confidence. <\/p>\n
Why It Matters<\/h2>\n
Speaking in public in French, in a predominantly English-speaking province, is a significant achievement. Our students do it with preparation, pride, and often with a maturity that surprises. The competition provides them with a real platform. <\/p>\n
