Our student at the Canadian French-Canadian Cultural Federation Congress<\/h3>\n

Last week, Tristan Claveau, a Grade 12 student at \u00c9cole Sainte-Anne, represented our community at the Canadian French-Canadian Cultural Federation Congress in Ottawa. A memorable experience for this young Francophone, at the heart of important conversations about Canadian culture and the Francophonie. Congratulations, Tristan! <\/p>\n

The choir on the main stage<\/h3>\n

On March 6, the choir of \u00c9cole l’ENVOL<\/a> joined students from the three other schools in town to open the 65th Labrador West Winter Carnival<\/em><\/a> with songs. Three pieces were performed together, in front of an audience, to officially launch the festivities. Proud of their region, the students wore the blue, white, and green colours of the Labrador flag: a detail that speaks volumes about who they are and where they come from. <\/p>\n

A morning of music for the Francophonie<\/h3>\n

As part of the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie and to mark International Francophonie Day, \u00c9cole Rocher-du-Nord<\/a> kicked off its day with music, welcoming Franco-Ontarian artist Mehdi Cayenne. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the French language through artistic creation. Thank you to Mehdi Cayenne for his performance, and to the ACFSJ<\/a> for making this show possible. <\/p>\n

School takes to the fresh air<\/h3>\n

In January, the students of \u00c9cole Bor\u00e9ale<\/a> traded their classrooms for the crisp winter air, and the results speak for themselves: beautiful, colourful creations in the snow, and smiles that reflect the joy of learning in a different way.<\/p>\n

A choir born from a wonderful collaboration<\/h3>\n

In partnership with the cultural network, \u00c9cole Notre-Dame-du-Cap<\/a> has created its own school choir, under the direction of Mark Cormier. On March 26, the students will travel to Stephenville to participate in the Rotary Music Festival<\/a>: a fantastic first performance for this developing group. <\/p>\n

Green was in the spotlight<\/h3>\n

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the students of \u00c9cole des Grands-Vents<\/a> immersed themselves in Irish culture: shamrocks, mischievous leprechauns, and of course, lots of green. The dance celebrating the holiday, held on Friday, March 13, was a resounding success thanks to the dedication of the staff and the enthusiastic participation of the families. A wonderful day for the community. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n
