A Competition That Matters
For eighteen years, the Speak Off Competition has been one of the highlights of the school year. It is not just a speech contest; it is an opportunity for our students to stand up, take their place, and make their voices heard in French.
Students from Across the Province
Finalists from the elementary, intermediate, and secondary categories from each of our six schools will take to the stage to present their original speeches before a jury. The evaluation criteria focus on oral expression, language quality, and coherence of content, but beyond the points, what is at stake here is confidence.
Why It Matters
Speaking in public in French, in a predominantly English-speaking province, is a significant achievement. Our students do it with preparation, pride, and often with a maturity that surprises. The competition provides them with a real platform.
