May in Our Schools

École Rocher-du-Nord: A Week to Celebrate Neurodiversity

In April, students at École Rocher-du-Nord organized a whole week of neurodiversity celebrations, and it was quite a project! Each day, a student took the microphone to introduce a neurodiverse celebrity to their peers. Older students read beautiful picture books to the kindergarteners. And Ms. Rebeccah made stickers designed by the students themselves: the rainbow infinity symbol for neurodiversity, the gold infinity symbol for autism, and the puzzle piece. A big thank you to Ms. Adrienne for supporting this wonderful project, and congratulations to all the students involved!

École l’Envol: A Day to Relax

Thanks to Vice-Versa funding, the students at École l’Envol enjoyed a wonderful day focused on mental health. On the agenda: activities to relax, unwind, and have fun together, exactly what’s needed to get off to a great start and finish the year strong!

École Boréale: On the Birch Brook Trails

The students at École Boréale laced up their hiking boots on Monday for a hike at Birch Brook. A wonderful way to get some fresh air and end May surrounded by nature!

École Notre-Dame-du-Cap: A Day at the Farm!

The Grade 2 and 3 students had a very special visitor: Lillie, Addy’s lamb, made her debut at the school, and the whole school wanted to meet her! The students then placed a variety of eggs in an incubator before ending the day on a high note with chocolate egg cookies and a refreshing glass of milk. A day the students will remember!

École Sainte-Anne: Congratulations to the Graduates!

École Sainte-Anne celebrated its Grade 12 graduation ball. A huge congratulations to Tristan, Zach, Chandler, Erica, Tristan, and Jesse. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

École des Grands-Vents: Remy, the Golden Doodle Who Brings Joy

The kindergarten and Grade 1 classes welcomed a very special guest: Remy, a golden doodle from the St. John Ambulance NL therapy dog program, accompanied by his handler Erin. The students were able to ask questions, marvel at Remy, and enjoy a gentle moment with their new four-legged companion.
