Here’s what happened in our schools in June.
École l’ENVOL: Libraries born from the hands of our students
What a wonderful initiative at École l’ENVOL! Thanks to the PassepART fund and the support of the Francophone Association of Labrador, students from kindergarten to grade 12 have been working together to create small community libraries that will soon be installed in the region. And that’s not all: a second free library project, funded by Vice-Versa, is underway, one at the school and one at the AFL. Congratulations to all the students for their creativity and commitment!
École des Grands-Vents: Poetry Festival
Words shone brightly at École des Grands-Vents during the Poetry Festival, where students from kindergarten to grade 4 shared poems, songs, and artistic creations with their families. This project, supported by the Vice-Versa micro-grant, is just the beginning: students will be working over the next few months on an immersive exhibition open to the community. Stay tuned!
École Notre-Dame-du-Cap: When the stage meets the kitchen
The École Notre-Dame-du-Cap Spagtacle was a resounding success! Students shone on two fronts: in the kitchen and on stage, blending culinary and musical talents to everyone’s delight. Bravo to the entire community!
École Boréale: National Indigenous Peoples Day
To mark National Indigenous Peoples Day, Boréale students enjoyed a wonderful morning at Kinsmen Park, playing games and enjoying the outdoors. They also had the opportunity to meet two members of the RCMP and left their mark by decorating the patrol vehicle with colourful handprints.
École Rocher-du-Nord: The Graduation Ball
École Rocher-du-Nord celebrated its graduating students in style with a memorable ball. A wonderful occasion to recognize the achievements of those turning a significant page. Congratulations to the graduates!
In addition: Hats off to the little ones!
This month was also marked by numerous kindergarten graduation ceremonies across our schools. These little graduates celebrated their very first major school milestone surrounded by their families. Congratulations!
