Our code of conduct is based on essential values: respect (collaboration), autonomy (responsibility), pride, commitment and inclusion, as well as equity. These values embody our identity commitment to the French language and the well-being of all. École des Grands-Vents strives to provide all its students with a quality and diverse French-language education, by actively promoting Francophone culture.

École des Grands-Vents uses the WITS program and the MENTOR program to reinforce the code of conduct.
The WITS program is a bullying prevention program created by educators for educators. The program empowers children to make safe and positive choices within their community.
This program provides students, teachers, parents, caregivers, and community leaders with a common language to address issues of peer victimization and resolve conflict. Across Canada, young children proudly claim that they are “using their WITS” by engaging in positive, pro-social behaviours. WITS is an acronym based on four key strategies:
MENTOR is the extension of MENTOR, also based on literature, for students in grades 4 to 6 and sometimes for older students as well. MENTOR is a natural progression of MENTOR, but is not a necessary prerequisite, and challenges students to become mentors in their community. This encourages the understanding of different perspectives using six problem-solving strategies:
