École des Grands-Vents offers a wide range of extracurricular activities that promote the involvement of young people and strengthen their sense of belonging to the school community that comes to life in our school. The school has been offering basketball practices for several years. The school also participates every year in Cross Country competitions in the fall and in an athletics competition, Trackfest.
École des Grands-Vents offers basketball practices every year, for different age groups.
École des Grands-Vents participates annually in the School Cross Country Race Series, organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Track Association (NLAA). This event takes place annually on the last two Saturdays in September and the first Saturday in October.
The competitions are open to students in the designated categories and offer individual events as well as a team ranking.
Organized in collaboration with the Association communautaire francophone de Saint-Jean, the knitting club allows students to learn the basics of knitting and crochet techniques with passionate volunteers.
New for 2024-25: a choir program for students in grades 2 to 4 is taking place with a qualified professional. This program is offered in partnership with the Cultural Network of Newfoundland and Labrador.
