At École des Grands-Vents, our students have many opportunities to enrich their academic and personal careers by discovering and practicing cultural and sports activities taking place in Saint John or in other regions where there are Francophone or Acadian communities.
Here is an overview of the cultural activities offered to students at École des Grands-Vents:
For the past fifteen years, students in grades 4 to 12 from CSFP schools have participated in this important competition that showcases the public speaking skills of our young people.
The first stage of the competition takes place at the local level. Each participant must deliver a three- to five-minute speech to a jury on a topic of their choice. The local winners then participate in the provincial grand final, which takes place in turn on the Port-au-Port Peninsula, in Labrador or in Saint John.
A wide range of sports activities are offered to the school’s students, extracurricular activities and during school hours. The most motivated among them even have the chance to participate in the Jeux de l’Acadie.
École des Grands-Vents offers a wide range of extracurricular activities that promote the involvement of young people and strengthen their sense of belonging to the school community that comes to life in our school.
