CSFP students will participate in the Public Speaking Contest on April 27, at 12:30 p.m., at Notre-Dame-du-Cap School. The event will take place at the Centre des Terre-Neuveviens Français which is located in front of the school.
The CSFP’s public speaking competition is already in its 15th edition. Every year, all CSFP schools participate in this competition, which contributes to the influence of French. The 2023 edition is carried out in three stages: one final per class, another final in each school, and then the last grand finale for the entire CSFP. The first two sessions are over and it is the turn of the final to take place on April 27.
The finalists in the elementary, intermediate and secondary categories of each school will go to the site with a teacher-accompanist. The speech presented must be an original oral production produced by the student as part of his or her courses. The jury composed of four impartial judges will follow defined criteria such as: oral expression, quality of the language, coherence of the speech and other criteria.
This competition, which is held in French, aims to provide a platform for our young talents to express their creativity and oral skills. The goal is to encourage them to develop their language skills and self-confidence, while providing them with an enriching and stimulating experience. Participation is completely voluntary.
The CSFP would like to thank and congratulate all the students who participate in this competition as well as their teachers and parents who support them in their approach. CSFP students will participate in the public speaking competition on April 27th at 12:30 p.m. at École Notre-Dame-du-Cap. The event will take place at the Centre des Terre-Neuveviens Français, which is located across from the school.
The CSFP public speaking competition is now in its 15th edition. Every year, all CSFP schools participate in this competition, which contributes to the promotion of French language. The 2023 edition consists of three stages: a classroom final, a school final, and the final competition for all CSFP students. The first two stages have been completed, and now it’s time for the final competition on April 27th.
